Agricultural systems play a key role in mitigating the effects of catastrophic climate change, and it is critical to find ways of reducing the impact of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and air and soil pollution without compromising the production of food and raw materials.

In the light of this, we at Terrain-AI are pleased to announce that research headed by T-AI researcher Dr. Deepak Upreti has been accepted for the Special Issue “Agri-Enviromental Systems for the Future: Meeting the 2040 Emissions Targets” in Agronomy.

The paper, entitled “Application and Evaluation of a Simple Crop Modelling Framework: A Case Study for Spring Barley, Winter Wheat and Winter Oilseed Rape over Ireland,” applied a model which, when compared to previous studies, was able to accurately simulate growth, biomass production, and yield for the selected crops.
